This article is about the "Text Strings" tab under the main SkyTemple menu.

Overview

The list of Text Strings contains the majority of the non-dialogue text found in the game. Every string has an ID, which is used to reference it in other places. The text of every string can be modified. The Text Strings page has a search bar, which can be used to find all text strings containing certain text. The text strings are categorized, and a category can be selected from the bar on the left. Note: in the EU ROM only, the text strings are in five languages, corresponding to the five supported languages in EU Explorers of Sky.

This menu groups text strings into various categories based on their in-game use. The "(All)" category, which is listed first, displays every text string in the game.

Friend Rescue Set Phrases

ID 1-252. All the phrases the player can select when setting up a rescue request message.

Save Data Strings

ID 568-599. Used for messages related to save data, such as saving and loading, quicksaves, corrupted save data, and deleting save data.

New Game Welcome

ID 1736. Contains the intro text leading up to the Personality Quiz.

Sentry Duty Hints

ID 1783-2186. Used for the hints given about a visiting Pokémon when enough time has passed in a round of the Sentry Duty minigame.
