Talk Groups are used to determine the dialogue an allied Pokémon will use within dungeons and Spinda's Café. The group used by each Pokémon ID can be seen in their General tabs, and the dialogue strings can be seen by double clicking on the main Pokémon drop-down and selecting the Personality Groups tab.
In the base game's context, many Pokémon species are assigned to multiple groups based on gender and form. This is particularly noticeable for Castform, which uses a total of 6 different groups across all of its Pokémon IDs. A searchable Pokémon list can be found on the Bulbapedia page on the subject.
Groups which already existed in Explorers of Time and Darkness received official names in Japanese only, through the games' Official Extra Guide published by Chunsoft in Japan.
Keep in mind the notes only reflect how the groups are used in the base game.
