Text Strings

This article is about the "Text Strings" tab under the main SkyTemple menu.
Overview
The list of Text Strings contains the majority of the non-dialogue text found in the game. Every string has an ID, which is used to reference it in other places. The text of every string can be modified. The Text Strings page has a search bar, which can be used to find all text strings containing certain text. The text strings are categorized, and a category can be selected from the bar on the left. Note: in the EU ROM only, the text strings are in five languages, corresponding to the five supported languages in EU Explorers of Sky. The IDs in this list currently correspond to the US ROM only; the EU ROM desyncs from string 3939 onwards.

Pokemon LEVEL_UP Dialogue
ID 3939-4283. Used for Pokémon leveling up within a dungeon. Not seen for the leader, unless the leader is one of the Special Episode protagonists.
A more organized list for this and the following five Talk Group-related strings can be seen in SkyTemple by double clicking on the Pokémon dropdown and entering the Personality Groups tab.
Pokemon WAIT Dialogue
ID 4284-4628. Used for dialogue seen when speaking to recruited Pokémon in the Crossroads or Spinda's Café. Characters which cannot be seen in this situation such as the partner or guest Pokémon are generally set to use placeholder strings in this category.
Pokemon HEALTHY Dialogue
ID 4629-5738. Used for in-dungeon dialogue when the Pokémon is at a health of 80-100%.
Note: This and the following two categories have special behavior when used by the partner in Chasm Cave to Deep Dusk Forest; they will only use the top two lines of each category within these dungeons, presumably to prevent them from mentioning the hero's name. Keep this in mind in case edits are made.
Pokemon HALF_LIFE Dialogue
ID 5739-6083. Despite the name, these in-dungeon dialogue strings are used when the Pokémon is at the wide health range of 25-80%.
Pokemon PINCH Dialogue
ID 6084-6428 Used for in-dungeon dialogue when the Pokémon is at a health below 25%.
Pokemon GROUND_WAIT Dialogue
ID 6429-6773. This is the dialogue seen when speaking to Pokémon in a dungeon waypoint area. This generally reuses the top 2 lines of "HEALTHY" dialogue for each talk group, with some odd exceptions.
